Is it true that Road Tax is FREE for Smart Car ForTwo Diesels?

Yes, completely! Under the new road tax rules, vehicles registered after March 2001 with less than 100 CO2 emissions (band A) do not have to pay Road Tax. We only tend to deal in these vehicles so all our Smart Car Diesels registered after March 2001 are Road Tax free!

Can I get a right hand drive Smart Fortwo Diesel?

Right hand drive diesel Smart Car's are extremely rare as they have never officially been sold in the UK. We import our left hand drive Smart's from trusted sources in Germany where we have been importing vehicles from for over 10 years.

Visually there is very little that differentiates the two models but your pocket will be where you see the biggest differences. Apart from not having to pay Road Tax on the Diesel model the Smart Fortwo Diesel is up to 31% more economical on fuel and produces up to 23% less CO2 emissions than the petrol version!

Is it easy to drive a left hand drive on UK roads?

Very easy. With the Smart Fortwo being so small, it doesn't really matter which side you sit! Ask for a test drive to see how easy it really is.

Are the Smart Cars you sell UK spec?

All our Smart Cars are fully converted to UK spec. This includes converting both front and rear lights and changing the dials from KMPH to MPH. We even include a owners manual book pack in English. All our cars are fully UK registered and taxed with up to 12 months MOT so are ready to drive away!

Smart Cars are small but are they safe?

A four-star Euro NCAP rating, strong safety cell, ABS, twin front airbags and stability control are standard. Channel 5's Fifth Gear famously crash tested a Smart Car at 70 mph into a brick wall which it withstood!
